We're now proud to announce Martin House Children's Hospice as our new partner charity. We look forward to work with them in the coming years, to help them support children and families who need them the most.
Martin House Children’s Hospice has been providing specialist care since 1987 to babies, children, and young people with complex and life-shortening conditions.
Why Martin House?
Every year, Martin House supports more than 550 families from across West, North and East Yorkshire, as well as providing bereavement support to around 200 family members. It is open 24/7, 365 days a year, which includes on-call cover by its team of six doctors, meaning parents have access to expert medical advice day or night.
It’s time to Back THE BUILD
We are proud to be partnering with Martin House, and supporting the hospice in its biggest transformational project to date, THE
BUILD.
This will provide a state-of-the-art hospice with new
and improved facilities to enhance and expand the specialist palliative care it
already provides.
For Bethany and Jack, THE BUILD will give their family new experiences and make stays at Martin House with their four-year-old son Thomas – who has a rare genetic condition – easier to manage.
Not only does it mean they will be able to take Thomas swimming for the first time in the new hydrotherapy pool, piped oxygen in the bedrooms means they won’t have to arrange getting bottles of oxygen delivered to the hospice when he comes for a stay.
